Couple’s German Shepherd Dies And On The Same Day They See An Abandoned Dog With His Name On TV

An abandoned German shepherd from Las Vegas is getting a happy ending after being left for dead in his backyard. Nine was discovered when neighbors heard the dog relentlessly barking, only to realize his owners had moved away without him.

“It makes me sick to my stomach,” said Shari Dale with the Vegas German Shepherd Rescue. “Just horrifying; I mean, these are family members.”

Shari and her team had to work hard to get Nine to trust them. The dog didn’t like new people and was afraid to make eye contact.

“We went over there and tried to make friends with him,” she said. “It took a couple of visits, and then one of our volunteers was able to get him out.”

Eventually, Kimberly and Stephen Stonestreet came along and were able to melt the fearful dog’s heart. Shari warned them not to make eye contact, but Nine’s bond with them was instant. They knew right there and then that he belonged with them.

As it turns out, the couple had recently lost a German shepherd who was also named Nine. When the pair saw a news segment about the abandoned dog bearing their beloved pup’s name, they knew it was a sign.

Nine has gained a healthy 25 pounds since finding his forever home. It seems this family was always meant to be together!
